About the Workshop:

The Association Montessori Internationale Orientation 12-18 is a 25 hour workshop that will be held entirely online, enabling participants to more effectively organize their studies to complement their schedules, as well as having access to AMI trained practitioners, and fellow participants from around the world. During this workshop, participants will be provided with broad, general understanding of foundational Montessori theory and methodology for working with adolescents (12-18 years).

Participants will leave with high level concepts on how to engage an adolescent environment. Interested Teachers, Administrators, Board members, Parents, Guardians, Interested Professionals from all areas – health care, social work, law, community organizing etc. are all welcome!

Upon completion, participants will receive an AMI certificate of completion.

The cost to attend the workshop is $500 USD.

Required Materials:

  • Digital device

  • Reliable internet connectivity

  •  Quiet space for participation

    • Required text from The Montessori Series published by the Montessori-Pierson Publishing Company

      • From Childhood to Adolescence (Volume 12 - copyright 2007, reprinted 2008, 2014, 2018)

      • No written reporting or response is required for readings

Course Requirements

  • Twenty-five (25) hours of student engagement

  • 90% attendance for all aspects of the course

  • Completion of 2 hours of general observation of adolescents

  • Completion of written reflection after the general observation about your shifting perspective (500 words)
